If you're going the gift card route then I suggest getting them another item along with the gift card. For example, Starbucks gift card with a cute mug or tumbler. Also, to make a last minute simple gift more meaningful, you can get it engraved (usually takes 2-3 days) to make it personalized for your loved ones. Don't forget to include a thoughtful card.
